Concrete Abstract is a photographic exploration of concrete surfaces within our built environment.
To create this taxonomic examination, a large sensor camera and an artificial intelligence software is used to maximise digital information, preserving minute details. The meticulous reproduction allows the artwork to be scrutinised up-close, enabling the viewer to observe the cracks, smears and patches, machine marks, water traces, and tiny holes peppered across the surface.
The artworks are available as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) in an online decentralised art market where provenance and price is immutable and transparent. Each unique NFT is a 209 megapixel (11811 pixels wide by 17717 pixels high) image. Besides owning the high-res digital version, the collector of each particular piece will be able to order, at a nominal cost, a 1m x 1.5m physical print from the artist. It is a 1:1 depiction of an actual concrete wall section.
